A tough weight loss question this week. Let’s dive straight in
Question: Moms friend recommended a veggie shake, and it made me poop like 3 times today, but I’m not worried about that since for the last year I haven’t really had daily bowel movements since I used to drink and do all these nasty drugs. My body has reacted my slowing down my metabolism. Anyway I am trying to get healthy and get fit. So could it be the shake?
These are the ingredients
1 slice of eggplant
1 celery stick
1 radish
1 pineapple slice
& I add a splash of orange juice so it wont taste like grass
Oh and I know I said I’m trying to get fit haha but I rarely exercise but I do walk to places instead of driving, a couple days a week to make up for it. And I did an all veggie and fruit diet for a month lost about 10 pounds that was in december and since then my weight goes up in down a couple pounds doesn’t really bother me just extra info.
Answer: Vegetables have a lot of fiber in them so they will help you get regular.
Meanwhile, eggplant is from the solanaceous family– otherwise known as "nightshade". Other plants in this family are peppers and tomatoes.
No, it’s not "deadly" nightshade, they are edible and healthy, but they can cause diarrhea or upset stomach in some people. So that could be causing your problem.
Google "green smoothie" as there are a LOT of ways to make healthy veggie & fruit mix drinks.
My favorite is to throw in two big handfuls of leafy greens (spinach, turnip greens, kale, etc), a big scoop of mixed frozen fruit, 1/2 banana (makes it smoother) some water, a handful of stevia leaves and a bunch of lemon balm leaves. It look green, but tastes like a nice slightly lemony sweet fruit smoothie.
There are a lot of ways to do this to get your veggie & fruit servings in, raw and healthfully. Stevia leaves are great (a south American herb) because they are basically the same thing as eating parsley, but they are sweeter than sugar yet don’t effect your blood sugar or have any fat. But even if you have to sprinkle a little equal or honey in it to get it down it’s still good.
This week’s question is as follows:
Question: If you only drink it every once in a while? like maybe once every week or two?
I heard that diet pop actually makes you gain weight? even though there’s no calories?
can anyone educate me a little on this since I’m trying to lose weight and i want to do the right things to achieve my goal
Answer: actually no. there was an article that came out a while back that said…and i am going to paraphrase…diet drinks trick the body into thinking it needs sugar, so you end up eating other sugars to compensate. the carbonated water is also unhealthy, it tells your body there is not enough water in your system, so it holds onto it, even though your drinking a liquid. so…….throw the pop away. drink clear liquids, tea, (which actually helps in weight loss) some fruit juices. be careful though, tons of sugar in those also. water with lemon, is also a weight loss help, and if you need flavor? crystal light, or some other flavored waters. to help in loosing weight, remember the furnace. start your day with a good breakfast, eggs and wheat toast, or oatmeal, some juice or milk. do some light calisthenics and you will burn away the pounds.
Well here’s a question I just had to answering straight away:
Question: I was 180 i dropped lbs pretty steady untill 170. Id go everyday and my weight would fluctuate between 168-170 for a couple weeks, i stopped goin to the gym for a couple days n my weight went BAM down to 165…
It seemzblike if i work out steadily im loosin no weight but if i work out then stop for a day or two i loose it. Yeaterday i was 164 today i worked out now im 166. And this is wearin same clothing and different scales
Answer: Your weight fluctuates daily because of water, food and sodium. lt’s best to weigh yourself first thing in the morning (after going toilet especially) because your food will be digested by then. Don’t get discouraged if the scales go up or stay the same because it could mean you are building muscle. Concentrate on the inches! l have only lost 16lb and my weight has stayed the same ever since yet l am still watching my diet and exercising - only to find l have lost 2inches off my thighs, 3inches off my waist and an inch off my arm!
What’s this week’s weight loss question? Let’s dive straight in…
Question: Im in on a boxing team & I need to get to a lower weight class by June. I have until June 10th and I’d like to lose 18 pounds ! It’s just for my team so don’t tell me I’m going to gain it all back and whatever.
So I’m eating 900 calories a day and burning 1200 calories a day. How long will it take me to lose 18 pounds?
Okay if you knew anything about boxing and the weight classes, all that matters is that i lose this weight. How tired I am does not effect my training if I eat a ton of healthy foods. Im very used to this. I’v just never tried to lose this much weight. ALL I NEED TO DO IS LOSE 18 POUNDS. everything else is irrelevant
Answer: Great luck to you!
How to lose weight fast
1. Drink plenty of water. Our body needs a lot of water so give in to water. Water is not just way to flush out toxin but if you have more water in your body you will generally feel healthier and fitter. This it self will discourage any tendency to gorge. The best thing about water is that is has no calories at all.
2. Start your day with a glass of water. As soon as you wake up, gulp down a glass of cool water. Itâs a wonderful way to start you day and you only need a lesser quantity of your breakfast drink after that. A glass of water lets out all your digestive juices and sort of lubricates the insides of your body. You may have your morning cup of tea but have it after a glass of water. It is good for you.
What a great weight loss question:
Question: I bike to the gym, about 10-15 minutes, then I go on the treadmill and do this: Do intervals for 5 minutes, then after that set it at 4.5, and every five minutes increase the speed by .1, so by the time I’m done I’m at about 4.9/5. I usually go for about 25 minutes. Then I bike home, which is about 15 minutes, maybe a bit longer since there is a steep hill. I do this 5 days a week.
I use weights for my arms so they tone a little better, and I try to do this every time I am at the gym. I quit my ab/pilate workout because I was told that it didn’t matter if I did it - I had to lose weight before you could see my abs anyway. I’ll continue it once I’ve lost a little more weight.
I was 155lbs about 2.5 weeks ago, and I’m about 150 now and plan to go down to 135 (I’m 5′7). Is what I’m doing alright?
Also, I eat healthy - cut out carbs/calorie drinks/most treats. I stick to protein, like fish and chicken, yogurt (sometimes after I work out) fruits, and such. Thanks for your help!
Answer: Hi Tegan 11. Your physical activities and diet plan seem fine and don’t forget to rest ok? Losing weight also requires a little patience. Most people often complain about diets and exercises that never worked because they have no determination to begin with. Give your body time to react to the changes. Your diet lacks green and leafy vegetables. drink lots of water and not too much meat. You should also eat foods that burn belly fat.
What’s this week’s weight loss question? Let’s dive straight in…
Question: I’m 13, 5 "5", and 160 lbs
Answer: you gotta eat well nd exercise. 3500 calories equal 1 pound so if you want to lose 1 pound you have to take out 3500 calories from your intake. but mostly it’s about eating right stuff. don’t eat junks for snack and instead eat fruits or something. also if it’s possible, get whole grain stuff. I lost like 5lbs in 3 weeks doing no exercise and just eating healthy.

Well here’s a question I just had to answering straight away:
Question: i lost 15 pounds and im scared that im going to gain it back… any tips??
Answer: Try these basic tips for weight management and a healthy lifestyle
after your diet:
1. Change your eating habits so that you eat a balance of fresh fruits
and vegetables, low-fat dairy products and lean meat (chicken or fish
are the lightest sources). Choose complex carbohydrates, such as whole
grain breads and high fibre cereals as opposed to bleached flour
products like white bread.
2. Do aerobic exercise such as walking, running, swimming or cycling
regularly. This will increase muscle tone and burn calories. Even
developing a simple, healthy habit like walking to the train every day
instead of taking the bus, can make a difference in how you look and
feel.
3. Eat a healthy breakfast every morning. Smart, energy-packed choices
include bran, bananas, orange juice, porridge, muesli or low-fat
yoghurt.
4. Swap low-fat milk for semi-skimmed milk and focus on other
low-calorie foods.
5. Plan your meals in advance so you don’t eat fast food on the run or
fill up on high-calorie snacks.
6. Don’t eat meat more than once a day. Fish and poultry are recommended
over red or processed meats because they are less fattening.
7. Avoid fried foods, which absorb fat from cooking oils. Also, food
tends to lose more of their nutritional value when fried. Instead,
bake, broil or grill food. In the case of vegetables, lightly steam
them.
8. Drink alcohol in moderation.
Eat fibre-rich foods such as leafy green vegetables, fruit, beans,
bran flakes, roots and whole grains. These will fill you up and keep
your digestive system healthy.
9. Choose fresh fruits for puddings and snacks.
10. Keep your portions small.
11. Watch your weight, but only weigh yourself once a week as the numbers
on the scale may fluctuate slightly on a day-to-day basis. Also, gauge
your target weight by how you feel and how your clothes fit rather
than by what the scales say.
12. Don’t panic if you put on weight. Think about what could have caused
the gain and amend your diet accordingly.
What a great weight loss question:
Question: Or must you also do weight training? If so, would simply doing press ups and sit ups be okay?
Answer: You do need to add some strength training. Press up and sit ups are okay, but not if you want to have a good looking body after you lose weight. You need to focus on all your muscles. Working the arm muscles will give your arms a great shape and working your leg muscles will help you burn fat and help you do more cardio. Do not overlook the benefits of a good strength training routine that targets every muscle. In the long run, you will be better off having strength trained.
This week’s question is as follows:
Question: So i’m looking to get in shape before prom, just tone up a bit. Does anbody have some tips that worked? eating/ working out anything will help
Answer: Cut down on your Sugar, Starchy, and Fatty foods for a start. Replace all your Soda drinking with plain old H2O. Make a routine of exercising 30+ minutes a day. To give you an idea, anything that gets your heart pumping and causes you to break a sweat is a good exercise.
Push-ups, Sit-ups, and light Weight Lifting is a good start for toning. Do 3 sets of each exercise throughout the day. If you dont have a dumbbell or anything, Push-ups will make up for it.
Make an eating plan similar to: Breakfast, Snack, Lunch, Snack, Dinner. Eat healthy things with Protein. Peanut Butter, Skinless Chicken, Whole Weat Bread, Tuna (any type of Fish for that matter) or even a Salad. If you are on the run and in a hurry, a quick stop by Subway for a (healthy!) Sandwich is an excellent choice. I even go to Subway all the damn time! Space your snacks and meals accordingly throughout the day as well. 2-3 hours apart is normal.
When is prom? Because I would suggest that you start an exercise routine right this very minute. I would expect, if you follow your eating, and exercising routine, around 2 weeks to a month to see results in your body. The longer you wait, the longer it will take to see results.
Good luck with everything.
