What’s this week’s question? Let’s dive straight in…
My questions are:
How many OUNCES of water do I need to drink daily?
What is an appropriate amount of calories daily for trying to lose weight?
What are my target daily grams for fat, sodium, carbs, protein, fiber, sugar, etc?
How much time per day should be spent exercising? Or per week?
And if anyone has some tips for getting rid (or lessening the appearance of) stretch marks, I’m all ears.
I am in my 20s and am 230 lbs. Answers targeted for a person in that age and weight would be greatly appreciated.
Try working out (not exercising = recreational) for a good hour (up to). Using Aerobics and Circuit Training is a great way to develop muscle and lose fat. You can go to almost any mma training website and pick out some exercises to use for your circuit revolution. Try to go Upper body to Lower body to Upper body, etc. You can also add in some strength training sessions where you use 1-5 reps of at least 3-5 sets. To get faster results, you are going to have to pass that pain threshold that comes with muscle fatigue. Its not easy but once you pass it, you will realize that there is a whole new level of training that can be acquired.
Dieting is pretty much the easiest of them all as you just need to simply have the will (choose) to eat a more balanced meal and less fast food. Its as simple as eating more fruits and vegetables and side dishes rather than have the whole plate be the main course with almost equal amounts of side dishes that I see so many do and wonder why they cant lose weight. Try substituting breakfast for a protein drink, and a small well balanced meal. Protein drinks are great for surpressing hunger and making you feel more full than you really are since it is released in your body at a slow pace.
Another important factor is your mental determination and visualization…if you cannot see yourself already thin and consider it impossible it will be just that. Think in terms of you already being the body frame you want and eventually your body will have no choice but to comply and tranform itself into that mental image you continuously meditate on. It helps to connect with strong emotional feelings about wanting and needing to achieve your ideal frame.
Hope this really long answer helps…have fun
