How Much Weight Loss is Normal in a 6 Month Period?

Well here’s a question I just had to answering straight away:

Question: I have lost 20 lbs in 6 months….the only "2" things I am doing differently is 1-2 hour dog hikes in the woods at least twice a week with my 9 month old dog & yoga classes twice a week….I did need to lose the weight BUT was not trying to….would the 2 activities mentioned cause me to lose 20 lbs in 6 months…..I don’t feel sick….I work a full time & 2 small part time jobs I don’t eat large meals and have actually been eating fast food more so than I ever have to try to pick a little weight up but I seem to continue to lose….is the weight loss normal with the activities mentioned?
Answer: The hikes would do it. I would think it’d be the cardio workout and the fact that you work 3 jobs. I wouldn’t honestly worry about it, if you lose another 20 lbs in the next 6 months, I would consult a doctor.

Girls..I Have Started Indulging in Carbs..sweets.. and Have Lost the Track of "weight Loss"?

This week’s question is as follows:

Question: im quite close … always dreamt of losing the flab..but off late all I do is eat the wrong kind of stuff..
I finished this huge big chocolate … in one day ..& this was a gift pack which if you eat one strip day would take 20 days to finish …

dunno why I’m doing this..HELP!

Answer: U r doing this because you have given up… you want to lose weight, but you dont want to do what u need to do to lose the weight. Drink heaps of water so u feel more full and less likely to eat so much. If u need sugar, better to get it from fruit, rather than processed foods. It would take a 5km run to burn off one 60 gram chocolate bar. Perhaps you are starving yourself, so your body gets desperate for energy, which is why u start on the high sugar foods. Eat regularly, but eat healthy foods. Don’t let yourself get hungry, but don’t eat so much that you’re full either. It’s better to eat 5 smaller healthy meals per day, than to starve yourself, and then pig out on junk food.

10 Points 5 Stars. Weight Loss?

This week’s question is a good one. Let’s have a look:

Question: Is it ok to throw up a few times to lose weight?? I exercise regularly & eat healthy but can’t seem to lose weight
Answer: It is definitely NOT okay. It’s really unhealthy. The acid from your stomach will burn your throat, corrode your teeth, and damage your tissue lining. Just keep going, and you’ll see results. Make sure that you’re drinking plenty of water and keeping your portions small. Also, don’t do the same workout everyday. You’ll begin to get used to it.
Good luck!

What Would Be the Best Work Outs for Me to Achieve My Weight Loss Goal?

What’s this week’s weight loss question? Let’s dive straight in…

Question: I basically have 3 &1/2 months to lose about 40 pounds, but in the process I want to gain muscel. What are the best cardio and strength work outs that I can do, to make this happen? (:
Answer: hi Sonny
One of the most common fitness myths is the belief that you can turn fat into muscle. I call it a myth because it has never been done, can’t be done, and yet so many people believe that it is possible. Let me make it plain: You can’t turn fat into muscle just as you can’t turn copper to gold. Fat and muscle are two different tissues which are not even similar to each other. Just because when you get fit you tend to lose fat and gain muscle does not mean that one is turned to the other.

Why is this such a common myth?

1. It is something that people say when they describe a person who lost a lot of weight and toned up. They say: "Wow, he turned all his fat into muscle." Because this has become a part of our day to day language, it has slowly filtered into our beliefs as well.

2. There may have been certain shady marketers in the past who claimed to be able to produce this effect. I don’t know of any product that was promoted with such bogus claims, but I wouldn’t put it past some marketers as there are some bad people out there.

3. We would like to believe this is true because losing fat and gaining muscle are the two most common and important goals a fitness oriented person wishes to achieve (after maintaining proper health, of course). So, it’s very tempting to believe that there’s a connection between one and the other. It will sort of allow you to kill two birds with one stone.

Well, sorry, it can’t be done. However, this doesn’t mean that you can’t lose fat and build lean muscle tissue. You can indeed. But these are two separate processes that you do and not one and the same.

To lose fat and gain muscle you need to follow a healthy diet plan and to workout regularly, doing intensive and effective strength training workouts. Otherwise, you will never be able to build lean muscle tissue. It just won’t happen.

When you do your workouts, make sure to train your entire body to develop the most muscle tissue you can as this will also help you to burn more fat. Do you cardio session after your strength training session and really push yourself throughout your workouts to get the best and fastest results possible.

Weight Loss Question Read Carefully?

We’ve had a reader question come in on the subject of weight loss. Let’s take a look:

Question: Ok here’s another one of those questions.

1.How long do I need to do CARDIO (w/ no gym equipment) each day to lose at least 15 lbs in a month and continue from there to lose more weight?

2.DO NOT TELL ME ABOUT DIETING/FOOD.
Yes i know that it’s not healthy, that you need to do more than cardio, that dieting is ideal, this that and all the fine print but IDC, i (personally) don’t need to do all that to lose weight

3.So just answer the question and don’t go past that. I know how to work with other exercises, I just need help with cardio because i cant figure out how long i should do it -since it’s going to be my main exercise.

4.Exercise is all i need-(trust me)- it’s the only thing I’ve done my whole life to keep fit, feel amazing & it does wonders for my skin. About to 2 years ago I stopped and since gained some weight that I need to start working on, hence the question.

THANK YOU

Answer: LMFAO

Sorry I couldn’t help myself

The amount of cardio completely depends on the amount of excess food consumed each day.

Losing fat/weight is simple math ( food consumed - (calories burned from exercise + Calories burned sustaining your body) = Weight gained or lost )

So eat less then you burn leaving an excess that your body takes from stored fat.

I'm 13, I Need Fitness/eating Right/weight Loss Tips :D?

What’s this week’s weight loss question? Let’s dive straight in…

Question: Ok, so i am 13, i weigh 182 pounds and i am 5′5”. I need to loose some weight over the summer for 8th grade, and i need some tips on fitness, eating right & weight loss!

Spanks :) I need to get rid of my hujongo belly and some theigh jiggle(: also i need to tone my arms.

Thanks again(;
Answer: Ok.. Good news: your young and if you act now you can get fit and stay fit. Bad news: losing weight takes some effort. 1. Losing weight is 65% eating.. Eat healthy ( not like "diet" stuff ) like fresh stuff try to buy food from health food stores because, well its all healthy!
2. Cardio: running, jogging, biking, sports ( you will NOT lose weight if you only walk) you burn fat when your heart rate is up, find fun ways to get sweaty! :p last thing dont give up. If you just change your eating habits you will feel better and look better! Trust me. Good luck!
Btw: lifting weightS for your arms wont burn off the fat.. Lifting weights is for building muscle
