Weight Loss… Help! I Need Tips!?

What a great weight loss question:

Question: I’m 12 years old I weigh 126 pounds and I’m 5′2. I know I need to lose weight. It all goes to my tummy area ( more my lower stomach to be exact(just the best place for it huh?)) my arms and legs are pretty thin my upper thighes are a bit bigger though. When I tend to gain a pound my face gets chubbier like my cheeks get rounder. Well anyways….
I need some good weight loss tips, like some good exercises, then one to target the tummy area, and if you can a food guide. Like, what I should and should not eat, and if possible a little ( gosh I can’t think of a word) hmmm like something that tells me what I should eat like breakfast, lunch , dinner, mid day snacks. Some healthy foods not high in calorie food. Thank so much! I know this is asking so much but I am committed to doing this and want to be able to wear a bikini for the end of summer ( I hope at least by then) and not a top that covers my tummy! Thank you thank you thank you thank you!!!

Question: Well im 14 n weigh like 142 ? er soemtin lyke that n im only 5"1 of course like all woman n girls out theer mi problem area is of course mi chubby lil stomach a lil in mi thighs but i reaaly wanna lose weight like super bad of course so as you know because of mi age i cant go to gymes bye equimpents the only things i have is my to arms and legs and a goal ill stay commited but i want detailed answers please not like go run or eat right i want soemthing eat this n this n do this excersise then this…get it ? ha i hope so but im really thankful for who ever helps me out ill appriciate it ive asked this question before but didnt give as much detail soo this time ill give the best answer as much points as they can get ha thanks !

Recently, I have decided to lose my weight.So I ask question then I have learnt a lot from google and yahoo answers.Now I used to see the questions under this category.Most of the questions asked by teenagers 17,18 and they want to lose their weight 50 Ibs in two months or three months and they knew it is not healthy.I pity for them.Everyone wants to lose weight suddenly,but is not a magic.Our mind and body have to cooperate.Previously, I lose my weight 4kg in 6 months.That time I had a motivation from a TV programme that a girl lose 10 kg in one year time.She said first few months she didn’t see any weight loss.Later on she had a lot of weight loss in following months.So I had impressed by her and I read a lot of books then I follow the instructions.Then I had succeeded.I hope following tips are very helpful.

1) You paste a photograph of your slim body and evrery day you see the photograph and promise I’ll be come back like this.———You’ll get confident that you can reduce your weight.
2) Start everyday 30 mins brisk walking /jogging/running and before and after brisk walking/jogging/running you have to do warm up exercises.So that you couldn’t hurt your body —- its makes you feel happy, confident,and active througout the day and its help to burn more fat that you eat whole day.
3) a) Drink more water in the empty stomach.
b) Drink 1 tablespoon honey with same amount of water in the empty stomach. You can add in lemon juice also.
—– honey has nutrients that burn fat
5) Create a table of food names and calories that you take often.
4) Consume food calories between 1200 and 1500 —- it makes you to avoid fastt food and sugary food
5) Write food diary —– it makes you to control the food
6) Create a table for exercises then check it every day.—— its motivates to do more
7) Consume more fiber food (oats, whole meal food, mushroom,vegtables,fruits) that you can search in the web.———–Fiber foods digest slowly and you don’t feel hungry.
8) For Breakfast, oats meal is a very good meal to start a day.—— It has no fat but it produce more energy.Morning we need more energy to do work. A cup of milk. A fruit.
9) You cut your food carb upto 50 %. Don’t skip any meal or whole —– its affected your health
10) Avoid drink tea or coffee.It has cafin that affect the digestion of our food.Green tea is very good.
11) Change your lifestyle for life.
12) Do it happily.

Exercise, Every Day Vs. Every Other Day, for Weight Loss and Muscle Toning?

A tough weight loss question this week. Let’s dive straight in

Question: I had a baby 3 1/2 months ago. I gained a lot of weight but have lost half of it already. I still have 25 pounds to lose, even though I look pretty good for just having my third baby!

I want to lose the extra fat, strengthen and tone my muscles (tummy, arms and legs) and hopefully get my hips to go back from being spread.

This is what I currently TRY to do everyday.
20 minutes of elliptical training
7-10 min stretching routine that targets the arms, legs, back and sides
40-45 min toning routine that targets the arms, legs and tummy using no more than 3 kg weights.
5-10 min of various crunch exercises on the ab lounge

Is it ok that I do all of this everyday or should I do something else? What could I do differently? How long before I start to see results? Losing inches? Seeing muscle tone?

*My legs were pretty sore yesterday after woking out Sunday but I did my routine yesterday anyways. They are still sore today. My tummy and arms feel just fine. I have also adjusted my diet and calorie intake to help shed the pounds.

Answer: Do 30 to 45mins of cardio at least 5 times per week instead of 20mins, as fat burning normally doesn’t kick in until after 20mins of cardio.
Toning routine ok but you need to increase the resistance (weight) over time to force muscles to grow more. Remember the more underlying muscles you have the more calories you burn to maintain the muscles. Fat is also burned in muscle so makes sense to build your muscles up. They are not sore as you are too used to the 3kg weight. Don’t worry about increasing the weight upwards as you won’t grow like a man! You haven’t the testosterone levels to do so.
Crunches ok but also do some deep core muscle work such as the plank, side plank etc
You shouldn’t train any muscle which is sore as you are hampering the recovery of the muscle. This leads to overtraining, exchaustion etc and is the main reason why people do not stick to a routine. When using weights it is not advisable to train any muscle group more than once per week. So if you are doing squats or lunges for legs today, you wouldn’t do them again until 1 week from today. You need to split your routine up so that you are covering your whole body and not just your arms, legs and tummy. Do some work for your chest, shoulders, back etc as well. So on rest days from legs you would do one of these instead. Also take a rest day every 2 or 3 days to help you recuperate. Eat healthily as you are doing and you will see the benefits soon.
