This week’s question is as follows:

Question: Then I lost alot of weight working out but not all of it I got down to 170 with 35 pounds or so to loss now I found out I’m 5weeks and 3days pregnant after two long years of working hard to loss wat ever I could now I have to prob start over wats the best way to loss it after I give birth again and could breast feeding help?
Answer: Eat five or six small meals or snacks a day instead of three large meals. A 1999 South African study found that when men ate parts of their morning meal at intervals over five hours, they consumed almost 30 percent fewer calories at lunch than when they ate a single breakfast. Other studies show that even if you eat the same number of calories distributed this way, your body releases less insulin, which keeps blood sugar steady and helps control hunger.

New Mommies: How is Your Post-baby Weight Loss Going?

Well here’s a question I just had to answering straight away:

Question: I lost almost 30 lbs within the first 6 weeks, but I seem to be stuck now at the same weight for the past two weeks or so. I’ve been doing cardio 4 times a week and eating pretty healthy. I don’t know what’s going on. How’s it going for you?
Answer: I lost 25 lbs in the first few days after giving birth. I assumed it would be pretty easy to lose the other 10lbs since I was breastfeeding, but I’ve actually gained 5lbs back! I started exercising and joined Weight Watchers this week and have lost 3lbs in 4 days, so I’m hoping all of the weight will come off soon. I want to lose a total of 30lbs to get down my good weight. One of my friends said that it took 9 months to gain the weight, so you should give yourself 9 months for it to come off. Remember, you’re a new mom. It’s great to lose weight but cut yourself some slack every once in awhile. I do better when I give myself a cheat night once a week. My husband and I go out and I try to eat pretty healthy for the main course, and then we get dessert. :)

Weight Loss, Is't Not Working This Time?

This week’s question is as follows:

Question: Hiya.

Thank-you first of all for reading this question. (:

I have never been the skinny slim type, and I don’t think I have the correct body shape for it any ways. But I would like to loose it, along with some of the baby weight I gained during my pregnancy.

In my first pregnancy I didn’t have a lot of baby weight, and the weight that I did have, I lost easy.

Now after my second pregnancy I don’t seem to be able to loose any weight,

I walk my dogs regularly, and the only problem is, is that I don’t have time to go to a gym as my fiancé, Works strange hours.

Please any tips will be most appreciated.x

Answer: It’s your diet. I swear, 95% of the time when people think they are eating healthy, they aren’t. THeir healthy diet typically:

Has too little protein
Has too little healthy fats
Has too many carbs in relation to their protein/fat intake.
Has too little overall calories in relation to their current/goal weight.

and 95% might be too generous.

Remember, losing fat and keeping it off takes 3 things to be successful:

1) A properly designed diet (this is 80% of it). Key words are "properly designed".
2) Lifting weights (this is 10-15% of it)
3) Cardio (this is 5-10% of it)

For the non obese,

For the obese, its:
1) diet (still 80% of it)
2) cardio (15% of it)
3) weights (5% of it)

I can help you double check your diet, just email me.
