-For lunch, you don’t necessarily need to eat a simple salad everyday, but it’s good to have greens in your meal. Even a sandwich made of whole grain bread, lean meat, lettuce, tomato, and whatever healthy toppings you want is great. I always have fruit or veggies with my lunch too! Maybe just some carrots with ranch or grapes are good!
-For dinner, try to inspire the whole family to eat right! Instead of frying chicken, try skinless white chicken. (Yeah, it’s hard to top anything fried, I know…) or some lean fish like salmon! And also, the more veggies the better (:
-When it comes to snacks, it’s important to LIMIT yourself! I discovered that snacking was the reason I was having a hard time losing weight. When you want to snack on something, think to yourself "Am I REALLY hungry? Or am I bored, or just craving a certain flavor?" Cutting back on snacks makes a huge difference! If you really are hungry for something to keep you going, grab a handful of almonds or peanuts. Nuts are a good source of protein! Or, like I’ve said a million times, FRUITS AND VEGGIES! Allow yourself to eat as many fruits and vegetables as you want, but try not to eat as many other things. Granola bars are also good, or sugar free pudding.
You don’t have to totally eliminate all tasty foods like cheeseburgers, fried chicken, etc. from your diet, but you need to look at it more as a treat, rather then regular food you eat all of the time.
I know exactly how you feel! I’m working on the bikini bod myself! And it does take work!
