Any Books on Maintaining Weight Loss out There?

This week’s question is as follows:

Question: that talk about the day to day struggles of maintaining? going to restaurants dealing with unhealthy foods and cravings? i want to live a healthy lifestyle im not interested in some crazy diet lifestyle.
momma j: im thinking atkins for life is a diet lifestyle which is not what i want to do. besides the creator of atkins was not exactly healthy himself… =(

What Are Some Tips for Weight Loss for Teens?

Keep the weight loss questions coming! I liked this one:

Question: I am an overweight teen, a 190 pound 15 year old, and don’t want to go on a traditional diet, but would like to make some healthy lifestyle choices to help with weight loss. Me and my best friend have decided to go to a local gym 4 times a week for 2 hours and swim every friday in the summer. What tips can you give me about easy changes to help me lose weight. PLEASE TAKE IT SERIOUSLY!!

How Do I Stick to a Weight Loss Program?

We’ve had a reader question come in on the subject of weight loss. Let’s take a look:

Question: I really want to start eating healthy and exercising, but the thing is, I will exercise and eat healthy maybe once a month and then lose the drive to continue that pattern. I don’t know if there are tricks or something I can use to help me stay on this healthy lifestyle, but I’m willing to try anything. I’ve gained 10 pounds this last year and I’m not looking to make that a pattern! Please help!!

Healthy food choices, exercise plans, tips, anything would be great!!

Answer: you’re just like the rest of us. things that help me are,

being with and around friends who have the same weight loss goals
finding fun gym classes, or adrenaline boosting music to listen to during cardio
a different variety of good foods
a "reward" food at the end of each week if you do well
monitoring weight loss, seeing results is a plus
.. a few supermodel pictures on the fridge doesn’t hurt either

you need to have the DESIRE, or else all is lost. good luck!
