What a great weight loss question:
Question: I am 15 years old and I weigh 142 pounds. It is overweight, I know. I had to quit track because I have really bad hips and shoulders. I really need to lose weight. I drink water only and I eat healthy. Is there any exercises that I could do to aid in weight loss?
Answer: Any exercise that gets you moving will be effective in helping you lose weight. Walking, running, jumping rope, biking, ANYTHING. To help you keep track of the calories you burn, use an online calorie calculator. //www.healthstatus.com/calculate/cbc is one. You input your current weight, then input how long you did the exercise (there is a long checklist of things you might do) and the calculator will tell you how many calories you burned.
To lose a pound of fat, you would need to either burn up (through exercise) or cut out (through dieting or calorie counting) 3500 calories. So if you cut 500 calories per day from your diet, you would lose a pound per week. That is a safe and effective weight loss goal. So say you went on a 30 minute walk. You would burn up about 140 calories. Then you would need to eat 360 fewer calories that day to eliminate the 500 calories total. (Use some sort of exercise and calorie tracker. There are TONS of online programs and many of them are free. www.fitday.com is one that I have been using.)
A weight loss question that should definitely interest you all this week

I need tips to lose weight in my thighs butt and hips
I’m so fat -13 years old and I’m 127 lbs. 5′7 ft
Ugh help!?
Answer: drinks water, lemon juice, nothing white and you see what happend
Well here’s a question I just had to answering straight away:
Question: I am 19 5′3 and 175lbs How could I lose some weight but still keep my good hips and breasts? I have an hourglass figure which I am proud of but some excess weight which I’m not proud off lol
My problem is this though-I used to be slightly anorexic in my early teens due to anxiety, panic attacks and general ill mental and physical health but since I’ve become better in the last 2 years I’ve been putting on a lot of weight compared to what I used to weigh-6 stone. I have been told that it’s just my natural weight because if it wasn’t it would be easier that what it has been to lose it because it takes someone with extra fat faster to lose it rather than a person at their normal weight trying to lose some. So yeah, what could I do? Any recommendations?
Thank you!
Answer: Okay well work more your legs. Like do squats , lie down on your back and pretend you’re on a bike move your legs as if they would be on pedals , do sit-ups to tighten the tummy , and push-ups can be good too. If you want more exercises just type on google : weight loss exercises.
For the food , don’t eat too much or too little. Eat as you would regurlarly , that way the weight will come off burnt as calories (and not cause you’re starving yourself and by the way if you do that the weight comes back on in a few days) . The weight’ll come off naturarly. So don’t worry (:
I’m a girl , 5′5 , 120 pounds. But you’re not that over weight , do you want to check your BMI ? it tells you if you’re skinny , normal , average , fat , obese , etc. I’ll link the site below just i case .
Hope it helps.
EDIT : Almost forgot , drinking water before meals or instead of like coke helps a ton !
This week’s question is as follows:
Question: okay so i am 15 years old
im 5 feet 4 inches tall.
i weigh 145 pounds
my hips are 38 inches around
and my upper thighs are 25 inches around.
i would like some healthy meals and/or plan and also a workout schedule and different exercises etc.
I would like to add that im a vegetarian but i also eat seafood.
Answer: Hi
Im also 15 and i last September i weighed 145 pounds and lost 33 pounds and i now weigh 112.
To loose weight it is very simple. Don’t listen to diets or plans or anything. Just be natural .
Ill give you my best tips :
-eat smaller and healthier portions throughout the day but more frequently (ex- eat 5 meals a day but make your meals half the size) this will speed up your metabolism and
-drink TUNS of water
-walk every day for 30 min, and also do a 30 min workout thats high impact on the body (dance, ect.)
-Pick 1 day on the weekend and 1 day in the week to take a break from your workouts
-Pick 1 day each week to indulge and not worry about your diet (make sure its only one day a week and it will not affect you at all)
-do not pick at food! Put what your gonna eat in your plate and don’t eat anything else! especially when making the food.
Hope i helped:)
What a great weight loss question:
Question: I am 14 years old and i really need help with loosing weight. i am about 160 lbs. i don’t look fat. my stomach just goes about 1 - 1.5 inches over my like hips? i don’t know what its called. but i want to loose weight before school starts on september 1st. i want to loose about 15-20 by then and i want to loose about 40 lbs total. i know that may not be healthy at my age but it needs to happen. i am really tired of being like this. and if anyone doesn’t comment just for help and insults me in anyway i will report you. so please only help. i want to know if there is something like a pill or something besides eating healthy and exercise because i already do that and its not working at all. so please, please help me!!
Answer: take this weight loss a step at a time. dont rush it or it will become unhealthy losing so much weight at your age all at once. there is a pill that works when taken with healthy foods and exercise, but im not sure if it is for kids. its called alli. i would definitely ask a doctor about this diet you are planning.
A tough weight loss question this week. Let’s dive straight in
Question: I had a baby 3 1/2 months ago. I gained a lot of weight but have lost half of it already. I still have 25 pounds to lose, even though I look pretty good for just having my third baby!
I want to lose the extra fat, strengthen and tone my muscles (tummy, arms and legs) and hopefully get my hips to go back from being spread.
This is what I currently TRY to do everyday.
20 minutes of elliptical training
7-10 min stretching routine that targets the arms, legs, back and sides
40-45 min toning routine that targets the arms, legs and tummy using no more than 3 kg weights.
5-10 min of various crunch exercises on the ab lounge
Is it ok that I do all of this everyday or should I do something else? What could I do differently? How long before I start to see results? Losing inches? Seeing muscle tone?
*My legs were pretty sore yesterday after woking out Sunday but I did my routine yesterday anyways. They are still sore today. My tummy and arms feel just fine. I have also adjusted my diet and calorie intake to help shed the pounds.
Answer: Do 30 to 45mins of cardio at least 5 times per week instead of 20mins, as fat burning normally doesn’t kick in until after 20mins of cardio.
Toning routine ok but you need to increase the resistance (weight) over time to force muscles to grow more. Remember the more underlying muscles you have the more calories you burn to maintain the muscles. Fat is also burned in muscle so makes sense to build your muscles up. They are not sore as you are too used to the 3kg weight. Don’t worry about increasing the weight upwards as you won’t grow like a man! You haven’t the testosterone levels to do so.
Crunches ok but also do some deep core muscle work such as the plank, side plank etc
You shouldn’t train any muscle which is sore as you are hampering the recovery of the muscle. This leads to overtraining, exchaustion etc and is the main reason why people do not stick to a routine. When using weights it is not advisable to train any muscle group more than once per week. So if you are doing squats or lunges for legs today, you wouldn’t do them again until 1 week from today. You need to split your routine up so that you are covering your whole body and not just your arms, legs and tummy. Do some work for your chest, shoulders, back etc as well. So on rest days from legs you would do one of these instead. Also take a rest day every 2 or 3 days to help you recuperate. Eat healthily as you are doing and you will see the benefits soon. Good luck
