Easiest Way to Loss Weight?

We’ve had a reader question come in on the subject of weight loss. Let’s take a look:

Question: Obviously it’s not easy, i mean more.. simple ways to loss weight.

Walking, Dont eat junk food, Running, Jogging?

Answer: In the morning if you can wake up pretty early, that’s when you have the most energy! Drink a bottle of water plug in your iPod or whatever and listen to music as you run! — That’s my first step.

Then you go home, eat a really healthy breakfast like fruit salad or something that’s nutritional.

After that you pretty much clean the house or whatever maybe take a walk while its cool, walk your pet dog, if you have one, i like to spend the morning doing that while its not so hot outside!

After that you wait a few hours being active as can be, then you relax a little and do some sit ups and lift weights to your own schedule… and your own statistics like weight height goals.. or whatever.. That’s what I usually do! And then I like to stretch at the beginning of the day… Ha-ha

SOME EXCERSISES:
1.sit ups
2.crunches
3.push ups
4.running
5.swimming
6.jump rope
7.jumping jacks
8.skating
9.lift weights
10.jog
11.walk
12.planks
13.lunges
14.yoga
15.water aerobics
16.bicycles
17.sprints
18.relays
19.playing games with a toddler ( it is tiring)
20.skipping
21.climbing
22.stairs
23.palates
24.stretching
25.side planks
26.leg lifts
27.boxing
28.wrestling
29.power lifting
30.sports

MORE TIPS:

chew gum - sugar free. It makes you not snack because if you chew it, you don’t want to snack because then you will have to spit out your gum! works for me..

that’s my trick tip - now read the losing weight 411

EXTRA: breathing for an hour burns 60 calories, so that’s a little lift off your chest ha-ha
and sleeping is the same rate :)

exercise at least 60 minutes a day if you can :)
——-
hey, you know what? The most inexpensive weight loss thing to do, is to try to burn more calories than you eat, don’t eat unhealthy like a 500 calorie diet! All that will do is make you sick, you NEED to be healthy to lose weight properly. I’m trying to lose weight too! So basically here are some tips to speed up your metabolism: Drink 1-3 glasses of green tea a day
Try and eat Chili peppers somehow, ((chili)) they help.
8 classes of water a day

the more active you are, the faster your metabolism will grow to be.

Did you know that breathing for an hour burns 60 calories all on its own? And SLEEP is very important, try to go to sleep on time and get your ages average amount of sleep,. ask your doctor what a healthy weight for you is, and then after you have reached that goal do sit ups and crutches - among many other core exercises, Run to slim out, and make sure you burn more calories than you eat - had to repeat that!

Fruits and veggies are REALLY low in calories and FULL of nutrition. Do you like Tacos? Ditch the hard shell, maybe try a taco salad.. Without the shell of course! Lettuce with meat is good, but PLEASE tries mixing it with turkey and beef so that it isn’t all fat. Chicken salad is good, you want the protein but you don’t want fried anything really, once in a while if fine but remember - YOU HAVE TO BURN OFF THOSE EXTRA CALORIES. Exercises exercise exercise. Don’t over do it - don’t starve , be moderate and stay active. GOOGLE: 100 ways to burn 100 calories, there are some pretty cool things you can do!

Stay away from starchy and high carb foods - mostly white things. Bread is a bad, so try to stick to thin, HIGH in fiber, slices :)

you can Google all the stuff and before you know it you will feel so good about it all and IM actually excited to start working out and all that, just because I know what it will do for me!

but if you must go with a diet, try Weight Watchers, its the only one I actually recommend. :)

How Do U Stay Committed to Weight Loss?

What’s this week’s weight loss question? Let’s dive straight in…

Question: how do u stay committed to weight loss no matter what??
my problem is always giving into junk food how do i stop that? whats the best way to not give into junk food and do well with your weight loss?
Answer: It is actually very easy if you get in the habit of never giving in. Then it’s just something about you. If you never have sweets, they will eventually taste bad if you don’t have them (like how when people switch to diet [pop/coke/pepsi/soda], eventually the original one is too sweet for them.) The only thing is that means that you will never have sweets. That’s a very hard thing to start. But once you start, it gets easier as you go.

Or if you want, you could make yourself picky about sweets. Convince yourself that you don’t like cookies [enough] but maybe you will eat your favorite junk food, which you only come into contact with around 4 times a year. That way, you avoid eating most junk foods, you cherish your favorite food more than normal, and you don’t over indulge in your favorite food.

Besides that, you should change your focus. Instead of focusing on leaving junk food, focus on trying new foods. Find new, healthy recipes. Spend more time in the vegetable isle, and explore it. Try new foods. It’s like an adventure.

Don’t forget you can’t just change your weight. You also need to exercise.

What Do You Recomend at My Weight Loss Program..?

Keep the weight loss questions coming! I liked this one:

Question: ok guys …i decided to lose weight a bit cuz i think im cinda tubby,..im 1.64 cm ..im 12 years old and im 60 kg ….i maked a "program" where from 13pm to 14pm im at basketball..and from 15pm to 19pm im going to ride the bicycle..also i decided to COMPLETELY avoid junk food and eat healthy foods..i decided to do this so …do you guys like it or if u can recomend something else pls be free to answer:P…best answer gets 10 points
Answer: 1. Drink water …

No, you don’t have to fill up like a tub, but ensure that you drink 8 to 10 glasses of water every day. Don’t substitute for juice. Your body should always be hydrated. Your kidneys will thank you as it can easily flush out the waste. With adequate water intake your body will be able to metabolize fat more effectively. And if you have a glass of water 10-15 minutes prior to your meal, you will feel full once you start eating. Another fun fact, did you know that you can lose 62 calories by drinking ice cold water? But it’s better to drink it between meals or before meals, so that your food gets digested properly.

2. Eat 5 times a day …

Start with breakfast. The more you eat for breakfast, the less food you will want to eat at night. Please, don’t skip this meal as you’ll end up devouring everything in sight for the rest of the day. You don’t need to gobble up 5 large meals, just 3 meals of a sensible size and 2 delicious yet low calorie snacks. Eat sensibly so your body doesn’t crave for food. If you treat your body right it won’t demand for more attention!

3. Use weights …

Needless to say, exercise is crucial to weight loss. You can’t expect to sit on the couch all day, sip water and lose weight. Join a good gym that lets you work with weights. It will help you build muscle and your metabolism rate will increase. You’ll soon see the fat come off and in its place muscle will develop.

4. Use smaller plates in dark colors …

The hotel industry has changed the way we look at food. Today a regular burger can feed an elephant. Well, almost! Check your portions the next time you dine out. You don’t need to finish every morsel. So, what you should do is ask your waiter to put half of your meal into a doggy bag before it even makes to the table. This way you will not be tempted and you will feel full eating less. And you will have something for breakfast too!

Learn more about how to use colors to lose weight for an even more successful and faster diet!

When eating at home, it’s better to get rid of the huge plates you usually use. Substitute them with small ones – when food starts to fall off, you’ll know it’s enough. Try to get these new plates in dark colors. Dark blue will be your best choice since it’s the #1 color that fights off the appetite (just look at the picture above, I already can’t even think about food). Avoid red, orange and yellow in your dining area – they are the ones making your appetite go sky high! (Think McDonalds’ logo and you’ll do fine – do you think the colors they use were random?)

One of the most commonly searched topic, may be even more than the sonnets of Shakespeare would be the question, how to lose weight. Obesity is one of the major banes of the modern lifestyle which every one of us has faced one or the other time. Moreover, the question of losing weight has become trickier than the whole, which came first, hen or egg thing. With the increased amount of awareness about our own body, very few people are absolutely happy with their body proportions. Getting slim and losing the extra pounds are not just a necessity to be “in” but it is also very important for our health. Although losing weight may seem like a magic and mysterious process courtesy our Hollywood and Bollywood celebrities, it actually is a very simple process. It is just the mathematics of burning more calories than what you eat. And for that the safest magic formula for shedding those extra kilos from your body is by taking a balanced diet and right amount of exercising. In fact, these two rules should be an integral part of every person’s daily routine, irrespective of the fact whether one is fat or slim. And this is because it has dual benefits – it helps in shedding weight as well as assists one in staying fit and in perfect shape throughout life if adhered strictly. Just because every other person has enrolled himself / herself in a gym for workout nowadays, it does not mean you have to do the same if for any reason – be it money constraint, lack of a suitable gymming centre at a convenient place, commuting problem, etc. you are unable to. There are certain home remedies you can follow to lose weight. These are natural ways to lose weight and therefore, safe and most suitable.

Natural Home Remedies For Losing Weight

* The first thing, which you need to do, is to calculate your BMR that is your basal metabolic rate. It will help you find out how many calories you need to intake and how much pounds you need to lose.
* Now make a diet chart incorporating all the good foods and setting out a reasonable goal for a week. For instance, you can set a goal of losing one pound a week and for that check, how much less calories you need to intake. Also make a proper exercising plan which includes swimming, yoga, cycling, using stairs, jumping ropes etc.
* Eat an ample amount of fruits like apples, pear, and green vegetables like celery, spinach, br

Weight Loss Suggestions?

This week’s question is a good one. Let’s have a look:

Question: I’m 23 years old and 350 pounds at 6 feet tall. I know that’s not good at all which is why I’m here to do something about it. I know working out and eating healthy is how it works, please don’t post that just to get a point!

I’ve been overweight my whole life and haven’t ever done well with diets. I played 4 sports a year in high school and was very active but the weight continued to pile on. About a year ago I had back surgery for a pinched nerve so some activities might be off limits for me still.

I understand this won’t be fast and am looking for lifestyle suggestions not just diets. I know the basics of course, less junk food more time in the gym, what I’m looking for is specifics.

Information like how many calories should I be taking in each day for healthy weight loss and what kinds of activities should I be supplementing my eating habits with? Suggestions for how to balance meals better and what types of things I should be getting in my diet as well as supplements I can take for even better results (I’ve heard fish oil tablets are very healthy). I grew up in a junk food family so food health has never been a subject I’ve been good at.

I have a goal of losing 100 pounds in one year, is that thinking too big? What would be more realistic and what kind of eating/exercise routine should I adopt to achieve it?

Answer: 100lb in a year is perfectly doable at your weight and is a good goal to aim for.

First things first, you’ll need to get into the habit of counting your calories, everyday. At 1500 calories a day you will lose weight rapidly. But not all calories are even, so of course it’s more complicated than that. It’s important that you have a BALANCED diet, and by balanced I mean aim for 33% of your calories to come from carbs, 33% to come from proteins, 33% to be from fats. You don’t have to get it exactly like that, but the closer you can get it to being that the better it’ll be for your weightloss. The logical way to reach this kind of ratio for most people is by drastically lowering your carbohydrate intake, and upping your protein and healthy fat intake. Healthy fats mean non-processed fats, ideally from nutritious sources like nuts or eggs. Fish oil is a fat, and it’s great to get into the habit of taking 1 capsule with every meal for health and weightloss reasons. Just keep in mind that although balanced calories help, staying within your calorie limit has priority over everything, don’t compromise it because you’re hungry from exercise or anything.

There are a million different ways to exercise. I’ll give you a couple ideas and the benefits of them. I am of the opinion that every person wanting to lose weight rapidly should simply have a fast-paced walk every morning before breakfast, and this should idealy last 40 minutes to an hour. The benefit of this is that you’re pretty much guarenteed to burn fat during this period, unlike other ways of exercising. There’s conventional cardio: things like jogging, skipping, anything that gets your heart beating heavy for a long period. Cardio is a good way of getting your body fit and boosting your metabolism for the hours after you’ve done it, though the calories burned during the process aren’t that great, I only burn around 400 calories on a 40 minute jog, which doesn’t seem great to me for the amount of effort I put into it.

Then there’s weightlifting. Strength training has massive benefits to long term fat loss. It boosts our metabolism for multiple reasons. Firstly there’s the act of weight lifting itself, it burns calories the same way any kind of movement burns calories. Secondly there’s the metabolic increase resulting from our body having to repair the muscles. Thirdly there’s the metabolic advantage of the muscle mass we gain as a result, every pound of muscle we gain means another 6 calories burned each day doing nothing. So weight lifting is a great way to naturally shed fat in place of muscle, if you’re gonna get into it I strongly recommend you avoid following bodybuilding routines and instead look for 3x a week strength training routines, they suit your goals more. Here’s the routine you should start if you wanted to get into it: http://startingstrength.wikia.com/wiki/FAQ:Introduction.

Avoid "fat burner" supplements, you don’t need them, they probably aren’t going to help and you don’t know what kind of side effects you could get. The only supplement I can recommend is fish oil, which you’ve already mentioned. Drinking a cup of coffee a day can help your metabolism too, and make sure you’re constantly drinking lots of water throughout the day.

It is ideal to spread your meals 5-7 times throughout the day, but it is not imperative. Some say it increases your metabolism doing so, some say 3 meals a day is exactly the same, so it’s up to you. Your body does definitely prefer having nutrients given to it in small doses every few hours though, and will be more willing to put on muscle if you do so. It’s important you never skip breakfast, if you’re gonna skip a meal ideally skip one late in the day. Make sure each of your meals contain a protein source and a fibre source (ideally fruit or vegetables). Your meals must also contain either a complex carbohydrate or a healthy fat, keep the complex carbohydrate portions at around 50grams though, more than that and your insulin hormones will be released and you risk storing fat.

I hope this information helps you and wish you good luck with your goal!

Can Anyone Sugest an Exercise Program for Beginners to Help with Weight Loss?

This week’s question is as follows:

Question: I haven’t exercised much for 5 years (used to play squash, swim and do circuit training), and have put on a surplace stone or 2 which i need to lose. I already eat healthily, wth lots of fruit and veg and very little "junk food" but the excess weight remains. I am not excessively overweight, but want to do something now before it becomes a problem
Cheers for all the advice and encouragement, I’ve got some great tips from you all. I’m going to try a bit of walking/ jogging tonight and see how I get on (no time like the present to get started!) I’m not completely unfit as i do walk a lot and cycle a little bit. Thanks again guys!
Answer: I would agree with the swimming as it use all your muscles and has the water for buoyancy, start slowly and as time goes on then build up you will find it will tone and the endorphins will make you feel great.

Other wonderful exercise is walking maybe getting off the bus at a stop before you own then walking to your office, going out on the weekends with friends or a partner walking somewhere this will help keep your bones healthy and is good cardio vascular.

What about Pilate’s I have become hooked and in a period of six weeks I can see a difference and it works wonders for your stomach!

What ever exercise you choose make sure it is one you enjoy as the worse thing is doing it and finding reasons not to continue. If the weight does not shift do not get despondent because it goes on quicker than coming off, just keep going and the results will appear.

Other thought a bike ride in good weather what a great way to move around and keep healthy.

Your eating sounds fine drink loads of water.

Just put your mind to it call it changing your life style and looking after your body for the future.

Good Luck
You can do it….

Tips About Weight Loss….please Help!?

I just love answering these weight loss questions. Here’s another:

Question: im on a swim team, and its only during the summer. our practices are daily and it goes for about 3 1/2 months, so the weight comes off easy. the problem is, after practice, im left to just sit, and eat. im not too much over weight, but i would like to lose 20-30 pounds. and it would be really convenient to lose it in about a month. like i said, i have swim team, so its not like it would be really unhealthy to lose that much in that little of time. if you still believe it is unhealthy, im ok with 2 months. my question was what kinds of foods should i eat, how much should i eat, and how should i keep myself motivated to not eat all the other crap in my house. not getting the junk food isnt an option because i live with my family, and i dont want to make them give up the stuff too. please help!
Answer: 1 month probably is not the best even if you do swim a lot. 2 months is a lot more healthy and realistic.
Loosing weight is something that many people have difficulty with, but if you are motivated, you will do just fine. Be sure to eat lots of fruits and vegetables at each meal or as a snack. Make sure you look at portion sizes and try not to overeat. It is really easy to overeat when eating junk food and when you are distracted. Be sure to know what you are eating (don’t eat in front of the tv and look at the nutritional information on the food) Also, plan out what you are going to eat before you go to your kitchen for a snack. Think of something healthy and have your mind set on eating only that.
Keep in mind that eating junk food does nothing good for you. It can make you fat, break out, and make you not feel good about yourself. You eat the junk food for a minute and then its gone. Was it really worth it? I mean after that you just feel bad about eating it so your answer should be no.

I hope this helps :) remember: it will only work if you have the right attitude. You should be excited about starting a new healthier lifestyle and you should keep imagining your ideal body throughout this process.
