Weight Loss Help Please!!!?

Keep the weight loss questions coming! I liked this one:

Question: Okay I’m a13 year old girl…I know I’m over weight, I’d really like help on how to loose at least 20lbs before the summers over…I cant always eat right ( mostly because I don’t know what to watch out for in foods), so I’m looking for more exercises, that help you loose weight even when you cant eat right all the time, I’ve been reading and reading on this subject, I’ve learned a few things ( but not sure if they are true) like having cold water on you ( like in your shower) for atleast 15 seconds can help tighten you belly skin, drinking cold water helps with that too, ive heard crunches dont really do any good for you, I’ve herad sucking in for atleast 15 seconds with help tone your muscles, and I’ve also heard spinning helps ( i dont know how though), am I getting the right advice? Can you help me from your own experince? Any advice that’s sure to get me results fast would be very much appreciated :) …I’m really tired of being made fun of for not being "skinny" or what ever, and it makes me feel bad so any help would be appreciated so very much :) thank you so so so much! :) @ Len what’s that?

Answer: Hard work and Dedication!
1. Start running regularly. Do a 10 minute jog every day and slowly move up in time and distance.
2. Crunches do work for you. Do them every night before you go to sleep. Again make sure you do it regularly.
3. Drink a lot of water. Avoid soda!!!
4. Avoid junk food!! (Fast food, chocolate)
5.Reduce your sugar intake.( drink your tea without sugar. Use honey instead)
6. Eat smaller portions.
7. Most important exercise.

Losing weight is hard and takes patience and dedication. Start excessing to your ability. Watch what you eat and you will do great. Also don’t pay attention to bullies, makes excessing much more fun and more rewarding

Question: I saw a commercial for this Sense wieght loss system thing to help you loose weight does it really work? Considering im only 14 do you think it would work for me?
Answer: i tried it it sucks just walk an hour a day im 14 too i lost 30 pounds walking

Easy Weight Loss?? Please Help! ?

What’s this week’s weight loss question? Let’s dive straight in…

Question: I’m 11 and I need to lose weight! What is a way to loose weight without having to buy much and DO NOT! Tell me "your too young to be doing this" thanks!!!
Answer: Diet and exercise.

Fruit and veg should form the majority of your diet, with also some lean protein and wholegrain carbohydrates. These foods will keep you full without giving you too many calories.

Find a kind of exercise you enjoy. I personally love dancing but all sorts of things can be fun: yoga, martial arts, swimming, running… try a few things and see what suits you.

Take it easy on the dieting front though. At 11 your body needs energy to grow.

Fitness and Weight Loss Advice Needed! 10points for Best?

Another weight loss question has come in this week. Let’s tackle it straight away:

Question: i just got a gym pass and basically all i wna do is loose weight and ton…and yes im on a diet…the guy that signed me up told me that i was going to "need a trainer" to guide me through the right path so i can do it right…but im sure can do it myself…what should my fitness be like when im there? starting with what? when do i tone? do sit up? in what order is it best to be done? please help
Answer: Okay, this will sound weird, but trust me in this. I used to be on a diet, and I gained 10 pounds in a week. I was only eating fast food the next week and I lost fifteen. Then I got kind of curious. Also, my best friends eats out on fast food around 4 times a week, and she is a light, thin woman. But I have great tips on gym. To keep your stomach toned and looking amazing, try hanging on to a pull up bar and curling your legs so your knee touches your chin. Do 5 sets of ten, and you will already be seeing results. After, run on a bicycle for a half an hour, then a treadmill for 15. It may be short, but it works out a lot of different ways, and the results are amazing. Try doing this 3 times at the gym, reducing the amount of pulls on the bar, and increasing times on the bike and treadmill. Good luck and I hope you

Training, Endurance and Weight Loss?

Well here’s a question I just had to answering straight away:

Question: if im cycling around 5 miles most days, should i be eating breakfast before or after? iv heard you can eat after to use whats in the body’s reserves to loose weight

any suggestions? im 86kg, 5′11 and a fair bit of muscle, just like to loose the fat covering my body, i know the eat small meals, but i need to know this morning thing

Answer: You should eat after you excercise. You would think it would be before then it would be like you are "burning off breakfast" but this isn’t the case… if you eat then excercise your stomach will become (feel) empty… Your body will then start to store the breakfast thinking it is going into starvation mode. Unfortunately our bodies are still stuck in the times when humans may go days before being able to get more food. They are unaware of ours ASDA’S, MCDONALDS ect ect. So eat after, plus you will enjoy your meal more.

Tips on Weight Loss Please?

This week’s question is a good one. Let’s have a look:

Question: I am 18, and weigh 55kg. I need to drop 5kg by next year for coxing. (don’t worry i won’t be underweight)
I exercise every morning before breakfast either 30 min on cross trainer or tredmill with a bit of rowing machine because cardio is meant to make you loose weight. I sometimes then do another 30 minutes of exercise in the afternoon trying to burn of calories.
People say that i have no fat to loose, i know there is, especially tummy, thighs and hips. Its just not coming off!!! i do squats, lunges and sit ups as well.
I eat small portions and healthy.
Am i doing the right thing? or can anyone help me out?
I think half my problem is water weight? i drink so much water!!
Answer: Hi Ellie, you seem to be doing everything right, so I don’t think you will have any problem dropping 5kg in the time you have stated.

The only thing that i would suggest is to do interval training. This means for example if you are using the rower, instead of rowing at one pace for the duration of your workout, you should go at a steady pace for a few minutes and then speed up and go as fast as you can for 30-60 seconds, and then go back to the steady pace for a few minutes, and then repeat.

This short burst of speed helps your body to burn more calories, because your body needs more energy to do it, and energy equals calories. You can do interval training with any cardio exercise.

Apart from that everything else that you are doing looks good, hope this helps, take care.

Oh My God I Am So Frustrated…weight Loss!!?

I just love answering these weight loss questions. Here’s another:

Question: okay so its official, no diets work none and no one answers my questions i get like 2 answers and then thats it. i will resort to starvation, if i cant find any tips/tricks that make me loose weight i will try anything but…
please dont give me websites, or things i have to buy because i cant do that
can you give me like diets or tips or tricks like
Mon .. eat 600 kcal, a bannana apple creal and for dinner chicken etc etc

then look where it says "extreme fat loss" and only eat that many calories per day, and divide those calories up evenly between 4-6 meals.

then on top of that, do 45 minutes of cardio vascular exercise per day. (jog, stationay bike, etc)

if you do all that without cheating, you will lose weight fast.

cheating is most people’s problems. you can’t eat cheeseburgers or french fries or pizza or cake or any of that. not even one little bite. if you follow this diet for a few days, then cheat, your body tries to make up for lost calories and stores even more extra fat on your body. you have to not cheat, no matter what.

at least give it a try for 2-3 weeks and you’ll see results.

Your Weight Loss Successes?

We’ve had a reader question come in on the subject of weight loss. Let’s take a look:

Question: What was your most successful weight loss diet plan? Or just anything realistic that helped you loose weight. I am trying to loose 6 pounds. I weight 116 Im 5′2 and am 17 years old. So help me loose my last pounds please :)
Answer: Hey! i’m 18 and 5′6

Let’s see….at the beginning of this school year i weighed a whopping 131 lol, but now i’ve dropped to my weight goal of 110…as of last month :D the last pounds are the hardest but just be sure to give yourself breaks, not like the eating whatever you want breaks but the kind that you just fill your stomach with healthy foods and don’t exercise…that certainly helped for me…take a lazy break like i did one week out of the month and it’ll be much easier…i didnt work out much, just danced 30 minutes in my downstairs living room 3X a week. Also, you’ve got to tell yourself you need to loose those 6 pounds no matter what because you’re going to hawaii in late may….just whatever to keep yourself motivated….and just b/c you lost them doesn’t mean you can eat whatever you want now…it takes 6 months to keep your body at the weight your at now…since you’ve just lost..trust me! after i lost 10 pounds i was so happy and ate almost whatever i wanted again and gained 4 pounds in 5 days so be careful! your weight is really delicate right now..
Congrats! and p.s i just realized you and i had the same weight goal :D
