Well here’s a question I just had to answering straight away:
Question: I have never dieted before and I’ve always been in good shape, but after a year in college I gained 10 lbs to many. I’m a 19 yr old female with a pretty normal/fast metabolism.. and for a few days now I’ve been living off of around 600-680 cal a day. I weigh 135 lbs now and I’m trying to get to 120 lbs asap.
Thing is I have always been health conscious, I eat healthy most of the time but my problem was that I ate too much as food was always available at my college.
This 600 calories is carefully recorded each day, I measure out what I eat to make sure. And it’s good food such as organic white meat chicken, almonds, veggies/fruits, cottage cheese, tuna, organic eggs, and salmon. And it is eaten over the course of 5 small meals, and I only get hungry at night because I try not to eat after 8pm. I also do a light routine of well-rounded exercise each day.
So… do you guys think this way of going about 600-650 cal a day is healthy?
Answer: Who cares about calories?!
I came from Romania here in America and that’s all it is!
Our traditions are still the same even though we are here now.
All our food is homemade and made from a lot of fat. I don’t even want to know how many calories are in Romanian food, LOL.
Yet, regardless of what I eat, I’m 5′7 and weight 107,
even though I’m eating white bread and fats and whatever else girls don’t eat.
I do play volleyball though…
Honestly, I say to go look at Victoria Secret models…
not like, sexually, but look at the model’s BIO.
It’s really interesting to see how much of them look very skinny
and yet they weight 125-140 pounds! Not all of them are DD either!
Btw, I do think 600 calories are not healthy. It’s healthy to eat a little bit of everything, and by such a low number, makes it obvious that you aren’t balancing right.
