We’ve had a reader question come in on the subject of weight loss. Let’s take a look:
Question: I have seen a few TV programmes with women who have lost lots of weight and are left with very loose sagging skin which can only corrected by surgery.
Does this only happen when you are hugely obese to start off with ? (I need to lose about 56 pounds in total)?
Or is it because they lost large amounts of weight really quickly( most of these women had their stomachs stapled and so lost massive amounts of weight rapidly)?
Or is it because they didnt combine dieting with exercise?
Answer: I had a 170 lbs weight loss. 120 of those pounds were lost within 8 months. I exercise, and I am under 30 years old, but the skin still sags
I will be having corrective surgery paid for by my insurance because it is a health risk for me. Since you only have 56 lbs to lose, you may not have a horrible time with loose skin. Do some toning exercises daily and use firming lotion and vitamin e.
