Answer: YES YES YES!!! not drinking soda really helps! & yes you will probably lose weight faster because your metabolism should be faster… but it mostly depends on your normal eating habits & exercise habits… but also cutting snapple and iced tea out of you daily diet would help to… try to just drink water… & cut junk food out… but that’s an obvious… well hope that helps
good luck! =)
well, my mom went from coke to diet coke and dropped 3lbs in one week.

LOL, I want to do the same thing before I go back out for school in September and I really do think if you cut with the soda you will be decreasing the calories you take in daily.

Yes - cutting down or out sodas will help (look at the calories and the # of sugar grams in soda) - BUT be careful what you substitute — some juices and sports drink are just as fattening!!
Drink more water (it’s also better for your complexion) -
Get a little more physical activity the rest of the summer ( biking, swimming laps, walking, etc) - and you’ll drop a dress size or two –

Not drinking soda does help you lose weight because soda has calories in it and in order to lose weight you have to have eat less calories than you normally would.

Definitely. It only takes a couple hundred calories a day to lose weight, and if you stop drinking soda, and drink ice water instead, they’ll be gone like that.
3500 calories to one pound, so if it’s 200 calories to a can, don’t drink 17 cans of soda that you wold have to lose a pound. but you have to diet and do aerobic exercise if you want to lose weight faster
oh and be careful because sometimes what you think is weight in fat could be weight in muscle
don’t worry about working out too much since girls don’t have a lot of testosterone (builds muscles), unless you eat a lot of meat (protein also builds muscles)

yes look at the effects of soda below and tell me it ownt help! diet sodas are just as bad as regualr soda
Risks Of Drinking Soda
Soda has been known to comprise certain chemicals that make you feel dehydrated. This is the reason why, even after drinking lots of soda, you continue to feel thirsty.
Every can of soda contains carbonic acid, which is a highly corrosive material. Hence, regular and frequent consumption of drinking soda can cause unimaginable damage to the human body.
One of the prime side effects associated with the consumption of soda is that it is high in sugar content. This leads to the development of a number of health problems, like obesity and oral decay. Consumption of any form of aerated drink containing soda means that there is consumption of empty calories, which results in weight gain.
There is high sugar content and too much fructose corn syrup in soda. Too much consumption of the drink can easily make you put on excessive weight.
Soda does not have any nutritional value. Drinking it regularly means that you are just adding on empty calories.
Excessive consumption of soda can result in high blood sugar, which can lead to faintness, rapid heart rate, and dehydration.
Since soda contains too much sugar and acid, it can play havoc with your oral health. Not only does it dissolve the calcium out of tooth enamel, but can also cause a lot of cavities.
Soda is also loaded with caffeine, which is a stimulant, the reason why it develops into an addiction soon. Consumption of excess of caffeine can cause irritability and restlessness.
In case you are consuming soda from a can, you must be aware of the fact that aluminum has been found to be a contributing factor in Alzheimerâs disease, which is an incurable, degenerative and terminal mental condition.
Caffeine removes calcium from our bodies. So, if you are drinking too much soda, you are also ingesting too much calcium, which ultimately will affect the strength of your bones.
Irritability, restlessness, tension, insomnia, excitement and gastrointestinal disturbance are some other side effects of caffeine, which often result from high consumption of soda.
soda should be banned! its as bad as drugs

Cutting anything that has calories, and not replacing it with something else with calories, will help with weight loss…sodas are empty calories with no nutritional benefit, so are often one of the first things suggested that people give up if they want to lose weight…one soda is typically 140 calories or more…several a day could make a big difference!
If you want to lose weight, eat right and exercise…that’s the key to getting rid of the fat and keeping it off…
